Ministry Blessing Blitz
First Baptist Church in Long Prairie, Minnesota initiated the idea of the Nicaragua Ministry Blessing Blitz to raise money for pastor's needs. CNPEN works with over 6,000 pastors in Nicaragua, many of which labor for the Kingdom in desperate poverty and lack for basic family needs.
These men and women of God can accomplish so much more with just a little bit of help from us. We would love to have you join us in our 2017-2018 Nicaragua Ministry Blessing Blitz.
Pastors are always in need of Bibles, Study Helps and training curriculum. The Reina Valera 1960 edition Bible is most widely used by pastors and is readily available, but, many have no additional helps like; study guides, concordances, commentaries, or outreach materials.
Women’s and Children’s Ministries also need helpful ministry tools. Many churches don’t have a single picture
to use with Bible stories for children (who often comprise more than half of the congregation) much less, a curriculum. Pastor’s wives are usually in charge of women’s ministries and there are even less resources available for that area.
Getting around in Nicaragua can cause quite a dilemma
for pastors who are planting new churches in areas surrounding their primary work. Most of them must travel on foot where there is no means of public transportation. Road conditions can limit passage of a larger vehicle but bicycles and motorcycles can generally get anywhere. CNPEN assists many pastors get to the places of ministry by providing solid mountain bikes and motorcycles. The cost of a good bicycle is about $60 and a solid motorcycle runs $1400. But if the pastor doesn’t have a driver’s license or the ability to maintain a motorcycle, then sometimes a horse is a better option for the cost of $300-$400.
